Zack Snyder Reacts to ‘Sell Snyderverse to Netflix’ Initiative
At Full Circle, Zack Snyder motivated participants to progress with the ‘Sell Snyderverse to Netflix’ endeavor. This was a weekend-long occasion that raised money for AFSP. Throughout the event, Snyder and unexpected visitors, counting Ben Affleck, Ray Fisher, and Chris Terrio, watched the Snyderverse trilogy on the big screen with enthusiasts and moderated a Q&A session after each film.
In an effort to reboot the DC Universe and move away from the Snyderverse, Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav hired James Gunn and Peter Safran. This left Ben Affleck’s Batman movie with Deathstroke, as well as Justice League 2, 3, Wonder Woman 3 and Man of Steel 2, all on the cutting room floor. Yet, a new campaign emerged – ‘sell the Snyderverse to Netflix’ – which earned the support of Forbes, Snyder’s Green Lantern, Wayne T. Carr, and even the director himself after Full Circle.

At the poster signing, Snyder made an unexpected move when Skiiwalker Tha Jedi, a key figure of the campaign, asked the director to sign the Netflix hashtag on his poster. Instead, Snyder wrote “#Snyderverse Sell It!” to avoid mentioning Netflix, likely. He could have said no or expressed his disapproval, which could have ended the movement right away, but fortunately he chose not to. The day after, during the Q&A for Zack Snyder’s Justice League, Snyder picked out Skiiwalker from a crowd of fans and asked if he would be “overjoyed” to have the chance to restore the Snyderverse outside of WBD. In a very heartfelt response, Snyder replied, “of course I would.”
The campaign’s main target is Netflix, which makes sense as Snyder is launching a range of projects with them, such as Rebel Moon. However, the initiative’s primary message is for any streaming platform. Batman: Caped Crusader was shifted to Amazon, and Dead Boy Detective to Netflix, as CEO Zaslav states that WBD is “open for business.”
Zack and Deborah Snyder have made it clear that Michael De Luca and Pam Abdy from Warner Bros. studio have had a huge hand in this endeavor, demonstrating that the Snyders still have allies at WBD. It is possible that the studio might be looking to lease out the rights of its DC characters to a third party so that Snyder’s version of the DC universe can continue through the new DC Elseworld Label, the same way that The Batman and Joker are under. Nevertheless, whether third parties are interested is still uncertain. The last thing that DC Studios CEO James Gunn had to say on the issue, after he referred to it as “the wackiest hashtag ever,” was that “Netflix hasn’t asked.”
Zack Snyder’s Justice League can now be seen on HBO Max’s streaming service.
DC’s Drive for Augmentation May Lead To Its Demise
Skiiwalker Tha Jedi, on Twitter, states that it is important to remember that you are the author of your own story, and you alone have the power to create your own destiny. One must take ownership of their life by making decisions that will shape the narrative of their life.
