World of Warcraft Gamer Makes Unexpected Find With Baby Murloc
A unique detail has been uncovered by a devotee of World of Warcraft: Dragonflight with regard to the Baby Murloc available for purchase through the game store. This store provides expansion upgrades, character boosts, as well as a variety of cosmetically-appealing extras that can be purchased, however the back-slot transmog of the Baby Murloc has a remarkable feature that goes beyond its advertising.
A Reddit user recently drew attention to the fact that the Baby Murloc from the World of Warcraft: Dragonflight shop morphs when players engage in combat. This creature, a member of the Murloc species, was initially introduced in World of Warcraft during the Burning Crusade Zangarmarsh questline, and has made numerous appearances since. In 2021, the Baby Murloc Satch-Shells were added to the in-game store, and many World of Warcraft enthusiasts bought the cosmetic, yet this one detail has gone overlooked until now.
Dack-janiels of Reddit recently shared a screenshot of their Blood Elf character in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight, displaying the hero in two distinct postures. The Baby Murloc on the character’s back is visible while they remain in a neutral stance, but quickly hides away in its shell when the Blood Elf enters into combat. The Satch-Shell Baby Murloc can be seen with two little eyes peeking out as they await the end of the battle. This allows the World of Warcraft Blood Elf to fight without concern for its loyal companion.
According to the Activision Blizzard post, the eggshells in which the Baby Murlocs take refuge during battle could be interpreted as their homes. Players have the option to choose from three color variations – blue, green, and red – reminiscent of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Moreover, World of Warcraft: Dragonflight allows players to transmog the Baby Murloc on any of their characters on the same Activision Blizzard account, enabling the easy access to have one on the main and alternate characters too.
Players of World of Warcraft: Dragonflight won’t be able to unlock a baby Murloc from Dack-janiels in the new expansion, but there is a baby Murloc battle pet available for free in the MMO. Those that go to the World of Warcraft shop can purchase the Baby Murloc Satch-Shells for $14 that they can see in the dressing room to compare with other transmog options.
World of Warcraft: Dragonflight is now obtainable for PC..
