The Launch of The Last of Us on PC Has Been Postponed
Naughty Dog has pushed back the launch of The Last of Us on PC from March 3 to March 28. The remake of the action-adventure title was made available for the PlayStation 5 back in September 2020, and the PC version was planned for a March 3, 2023 release date.
The Last of Us first appeared on the PlayStation 3 in 2013, featuring Joel and Ellie’s journey through a post-apocalyptic America. It has since been expanded with the addition of a DLC titled Left Behind, a sequel The Last of Us Part 2, and an HBO series adaptation led by Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey.
The sales of the first Last of Us title have been steadily climbing since the launch of the HBO series, with the PC version being anticipated to bring even more people to the game. Unfortunately, the release date of the PC version has been postponed by Naughty Dog from March 3 to March 28 to make sure that The Last of Us is of the highest quality upon launch. They have assured fans and potential players that they will be able to experience Joel and Ellie’s story soon.
Many aficionados of The Last of Us appear to accept the rationale behind the delay, encouraging the Naughty Dog team to take the necessary time to perfect the game and demonstrating their eagerness to experience it. One poster noted that shifting the release date after The Last of Us ‘ final chapter airs on March 12th was an astute decision.
The smash-hit game The Last of Us has been around for nearly 10 years, and it continues to be beloved by fans both old and new. With the recent PS5 launch and the HBO series, enthusiasm for the title is at an all-time high. People who are venturing into the world of The Last of Us for the first time on PC are hoping for the best experience possible.
In addition, HBO has already announced season 2 of The Last of Us, it is conceivable that Naughty Dog could bring Part 2 to PCs at some point. There is no set news on that yet, but if the initial installment is successful on the platform, the potential exists that the sequel might follow.
The Last of Us Part 1 is available on PlayStation 5 and will be released for PC on March 28, 2023.
