Sons of the Forest Reaches Remarkable Sales Total After Its Early Access Launch in 24 Hours

Sons of The Forest from Endnight Games, a new survival-horror game, was released in Early Access on Steam and has already achieved massive success. In only 24 hours, the developer Endnight Games has sold a remarkable amount of copies.

Endnight Games’ latest installment, Sons of The Forest, is the sequel to their previous title, The Forest. In both games, the player is placed in a forest that is much more than it appears to be. The survival methods needed to survive the wild alone become even more challenging as the player uncovers the dark secrets and mysterious lore of the forest. After many teasers and previews, the game has finally been released for Early Access.

The results of Endnight Games’ new game have been spectacular, with over 2 million copies sold in the first 24 hours and it is the #1 top-selling title, eclipsing other highly-anticipated games like Hogwarts Legacy and Atomic Heart. It also sits at #3 on the most-played chart with over 350,000 players. Fans have been blown away by the revamped version of the forest and the cannibals, and the addition of dynamic seasons has only made it better.

Sons of The Forest has already achieved incredible sales numbers, but still lags behind the remarkable success of Hogwarts Legacy. Nevertheless, the sales are heading in the right direction and it is expected to do better than the Dead Space remake which, although topping the sales charts, failed to meet its expectations.

The future of Endnight Games’ success may depend on whether the developer can maintain the momentum of the game throughout the upcoming seasons. If they can deliver regular updates and get Sons of The Forest out of Early Access in the projected six-to-eight-month window, then the hype should continue. Although there has been no news about a release for PS5 and Xbox Series X this year, the incredible achievements of the company in such a short amount of time is commendable for a major studio, let alone an independent one with a limited number of titles.
