Sons of the Forest Announced for Steam Launch Date
Those who love survival horror games will not have to wait too long before they can get their hands on Sons of the Forest, as the launch date has been set to February 23 at 9 am PT. Gamers on Steam should start planning their first session of Sons of the Forest when it is released in early access.
The sequel to 2014’s The Forest, Sons of the Forest, is set on a forested island populated by mutated beings. Players must prepare by crafting equipment and creating safe zones before engaging with dangerous creatures. Up to eight players can join in on the horror-filled adventure together.
The Steam store page for Sons of the Forest has revealed that the survival horror game will launch on February 23 at 09:00 am PST, 12:00 pm EDT, and 5:00 pm GMT. PC gamers can be ready to experience the early access version of the game, however, players on consoles will have to wait as there is no word yet from the developer Endnight Games or publisher Newsnight on a console release. Despite this, its predecessor The Forest was accessible on PlayStation 4, so it is possible Sons of the Forest will eventually be released on consoles.

A new trailer for Sons of the Forest has revealed more about the game’s multiplayer elements. Players can join forces to build shelters, collect materials to craft items, and battle the mutated cannibals. You can also choose to explore and survive the remote island on your own, with the help of an AI-controlled companion called Kelvin.
Come 2023, the horror game Sons of the Forest has become one of the most awaited releases, surpassing Starfield as the topmost wishlist title on Steam. Endnight Games had to move the game’s launch to early access to make up for the three times it has been postponed prior. The company also mentioned that the game was not yet finished and that they were open to players’ feedback to make it better in the future.
Sons of the Forest is set to arrive on PC platforms in the form of an early access release on February 23, 2023.
