Limited Content Being Exclusively Included in Resident Evil 4 Remake Deluxe Edition

The Resident Evil 4 remake may be reserving some collectible treasures exclusively for its Deluxe Edition. Even though the gameplay shown for Resident Evil 4 gives a faithful but fresh perspective on the original game, the news that some content is being hidden behind paid DLC might dampen the enthusiasm of some fans.

Anticipation is running high for the upcoming March 24th launch of the Resident Evil 4 remake. With previously scrapped enemies from the original game being added, Leon will have a greater variety of adversaries to confront. Until now, there hasn’t been much cause for concern about the game’s quality. Although, some may find the inclusion of paywalled treasures to be a strange decision.

Resident Evil 4 Locked Content

PCGamesN recently noticed something interesting when they took a look at the page for Resident Evil 4 on the Xbox store. It appears that the Deluxe Edition offers a treasure map, along with some extra treasures that are not found in the Standard Edition. This discovery left the author of the article somewhat disappointed, as it means certain collectibles are only available to those who purchase the higher-priced version of the game.

Even though some players may be excluded from the standard version of the game, it should not significantly affect their experience as the author assumes that the economy will be just as lenient as the original. As the directors of Resident Evil 4 expressed their reservations about remaking the first installment, likely, money will still be a plentiful resource, allowing gamers to upgrade their weaponry at a steady rate.

The upcoming release of Resident Evil 4 is anticipated to be a success given the positive reception to the gameplay showcased. With the delay of other titles, it has little competition in March. If the expectations are met, then it will spark a debate on whether it or the Dead Space remake is the greatest horror title of the year. However, the lack of certain features in the base version may not impact it too much.

Resident Evil 4 arrives for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S consoles on March 24th.
