Recreating Across the Spider-Verse Trailer Shot in Spider-Man: Miles Morales

A Spider-Man: Miles Morales admirer posted a picture of a scene from the Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse trailer that they had diligently recreated in-game. The attention to detail was extraordinary, making it almost indistinguishable from the original trailer shot. The fan used the photo mode in Spider-Man: Miles Morales to construct an image that was very similar to the source material.

In 2020, Spider-Man: Miles Morales was released, the second installment of the Spider-Man game series. As the official sequel of Marvel’s Spider-Man is still being developed and has yet to have an official release date, some players have been taking advantage of the photo mode featured in both games to make their own artistic renditions of their favorite web-head. Recently, a fan posted their own recreation of a scene from the new Spider-Man: Across Spider-Verse trailer on Reddit which they made using the photo mode.

The Use of Photo Mode in Spider-Man: Miles Morales Uncovers a Bizarre Glitch

ItIs-SPID posted an image on Reddit that mirror’s a shot from the trailer for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The image features Miles Morales wearing his suit from the movie and the buildings in the background are given a filter to make them appear as though they were taken from the two Spider-Verse animated films. It is a nearly precise recreation of the shot.

The comments section was filled with praise from fans, with many expressing how much they liked the picture. One person wrote, “it looks like it’s from the movie!” and another said, “this is incredible, it must’ve taken a while.” To that, ItIs-SPID responded, “you have no idea.” The photo mode in Spider-Man: Miles Morales is known for its customizability, but ItIs-SPID’s post is an example of the great detail Insomniac has offered players.

The latest Spider-Man game from Insomniac is well-received, with a distinct and complex combat system, as well as a range of comic-accurate costumes for Miles Morales and Peter Parker. While there is no definite date for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 yet, the series’ fans are still active and showing their work on photo mode. Although Insomniac has not yet verified whether photo mode will be part of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 , enthusiasts are expecting it to be featured in the upcoming title.

Now, Spider-Man: Miles Morales can be played on PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
