Recreate This Iconic Star Wars Legends Character in Jedi: Survivor

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor affords gamers the option to customize their characters and they’ve already taken advantage of this to revive a classic from Star Wars Legends. The game puts customization of characters at the forefront, and users have been able to re-create their favorite Star Wars Legends character with the help of customizing options like BD-1 drone and lightsaber collectibles.

Fortunate are those who can experience Star Wars Jedi: Survivor at its peak performance. Unfortunately, the game has been having severe issues running on PC, even on the strongest of systems. This has been a reoccurring problem recently, with The Last of Us Part 1 having a dismal launch due to similar performance issues. It is to be hoped that this will not become a common pattern in the industry. EA has released an announcement concerning the performance problems of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, so players may still have a chance. In spite of the difficulties, fans will still be able to enjoy the ability to recreate their favorite character from classic Star Wars media.

Kyle Katarn was a beloved character from the Star Wars Jedi Knight game series in the late 90s. However, due to the Disney era, Katarn has been moved to Legends status and is no longer part of the official canon. Reddit user NotJustJason98 found a way to pay homage to him in the new game Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, by having Cal Kestis wear the Bandolier jacket with the single pauldron. This is a great reminder of the past Star Wars era and it would be a shame to forget it.

Players of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor have noticed that some of the outfits in the game resemble characters from the franchise. One example is Cal, who wears an Outrider set that resembles the smuggler Dash Rendar from the Shadows of the Empire multimedia project. It seems there are more of these homages to be discovered. One player even found a reference to Attack of the Clones during the Coruscant mission, showing that the developer is not afraid to include references to parts of the franchise that may not be as popular.

Despite its launch difficulties, the potential for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is truly exciting. Critics have lauded the game for its improvements on the already-acclaimed original and have given it rave reviews. If Respawn Entertainment can manage to fix the issues in a timely fashion, Jedi: Survivor still has a chance of becoming iconic. There is precedent for broken-at-launch games going on to become huge successes, such as Cyberpunk 2077. If Jedi: Survivor receives the same post-launch support, it could very well turn out just fine.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor can now be accessed on PS5, PC, and the Xbox Series X/S.
