Pokemon Go has declared a Twinkling Fantasy Event with Mega Salamence
Pokemon Go recently declared the revival of the Community Day Classic on the 21st of January, with the Rock Skin Pokemon Larvitar being accessible for three hours, between 2 pm and 5 pm according to the local time.
Pokemon Go has announced the Twinkling Fantasy event, allowing trainers to find rare Pokemon in the wild. By completing field research tasks, they can even capture Goomy, and receive plentiful rewards. The event will also witness the much-anticipated Mega Salamence making its debut in the game, with a chance to find a Shiny one. It will last from 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, to 10:00 p.m. on Monday, January 16, 2023. Clefairy, Clefable, Jigglypuff, Dratini, Togetic, Marill, Ralts, Vibrava, Bagon, Deino and Dedenne will be more frequently encountered in the wild, and if lucky, trainers can come across a Shiny Dedenne for the first time. Moreover, taking a snapshot during the event will bring a surprise Dragon or Fairy-type Pokemon to the trainer.
There will also be an event-themed collection challenge for trainers to complete, in return for which they will get 50 Salamence Mega Energy, a Charged TM and a Fast TM. Additionally, field research tasks will reward players with a Shiny Goomy in the wild. They will also get an increased chance of finding rare Pokemon in raids, such as Jigglypuff, Marill, Axew and Deino in one-star raids, Mawile, Drudgion and Dedenne in three-star raids, and Zekrom with its Fusion Bolt featured attack in five-star raids, between 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 10 to 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 18. Lastly, the Community Day Classic will be back on January 21, featuring the Rock Skin Pokemon Larvitar for three hours between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. local time.
