Season 3 of Overwatch 2 Launches with Mythic Kiriko Skin

It has been declared that Overwatch 2 will be granting a Mythic-tier costume, named Amaterasu Kiriko, to the Support character Kiriko when Season 3 launches next Tuesday, February 7. The 3rd Season of the game by Blizzard will also be delivering other new elements for the followers of the hero-shooter to experience.

Blizzard hasn’t provided much information about Overwatch 2 Season 3, other than that there will be a brand-new map called Antarctic Peninsula. It is the first Control map that has been released since the early access of Overwatch 2 and offers an array of features; a giant icebreaker vessel, subterranean mining caverns, penguins to interact with, and a fishing mini-game.

Players of Overwatch 2 will be able to explore the Antarctic Peninsula in Season 3, as well as unlock a variety of cosmetics. In each season thus far, the Battle Pass has culminated in a Mythic-tier skin as the ultimate reward. The Amaterasu Kiriko skin is the most recent one, and it gives Kiriko and her fox companion a very different look. It is expected that the skin can be customized to some degree, but the details of this are yet to be revealed.

For Overwatch 2, the first Mythic skin gave Genji a new look, and the second to the Junker Queen resembled Zeus from Greek mythology. Blizzard has historically awarded one Mythic skin to a character from each class, so it will be thrilling to see who they choose for Season 4. It is possible the selection is random or that the character is chosen depending on how their skin fits in with each season’s theme.

It will be a while before enthusiasts of Overwatch 2 can get information on Season 4. The priority right now is to finish up Overwatch 2 Season 2 and start Season 3, which is set for February 7. Therefore, more details about the new Battle Pass and other specifics should be revealed shortly.

The early access version of Overwatch 2 is now available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
