Insomniac Aims to Make Spider-Man 2 Their Best Game Yet
Jon Paquette, the narrative director at Insomniac Games, has expressed his determination to make Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 the greatest game the development team has ever created. Back in 2021, the announcement of the sequel to the game featured Peter Parker and Miles Morales teaming up against adversaries, with previews of some of the iconic villains such as Kraven the Hunter and Venom. Unfortunately, over the two years since the announcement, there has been little in the way of new footage or information regarding the game.
To promote the forthcoming Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, a teaser video was included in a PS5 presentation and a prequel comic was released for Free Comic Book day. Insomniac has been responding to fan concerns over the game’s silence by reassuring players it will be out this year. The narrative director has recently expressed a positive message to those eager for the game.
Recently, during an Insomniac Games-hosted Twitch stream, Paquette shared his enthusiasm for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. He mentioned that the studio was putting a lot of effort into making sure the game would be their best work yet. While he wasn’t able to reveal much at the time, he expressed his eagerness to share what Insomniac has been working on with the fans.
The output from Insomniac Games in recent years has been met with substantial acclaim, from Sunset Overdrive to their Spider-Man titles and the PS5 exclusive Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, released in 2021. As such, the narrative director’s statement regarding the game should be seen as an affirmation of its quality.
Not much is known regarding Spider-Man 2 , with speculation and rumors contributing to a lack of clarity. In addition to this, Marvel has also been developing a Wolverine -based project, however, only a brief preview is available. There is no predetermined launch date yet, but more details about the game will be revealed soon.
The highly-anticipated sequel to Marvel’s Spider-Man will be available for purchase on the PlayStation 5 in 2023.
