Honkai Star Rail Leak Reveals Future Character Models for Upcoming Games

A massive data breach from Honkai: Star Rail has revealed character models for more than 10 characters that are slated to be added to the game in the future. This new RPG from Genshin Impact developer HoYoverse launched recently to an enthusiastic response from its fanbase. Even prior to its launch, the game had already made its way to the top of the sales charts due to an effective pre-launch campaign which saw the game pre-registered by over 10 million users. Now, fans are getting a sneak peek of what’s to come in the game’s early updates.

Just days after its release, Honkai: Star Rail has experienced numerous leaks about future material, similar to its predecessor Genshin Impact. Updates from the game have given an insight into the roster of characters set to be included in Version 1.3, including well-known characters, such as Silver Wolf and Kafka, that are already featured in the game’s narrative. Moreover, Star Rail ‘s closed beta provides a glimpse of some characters HoYoverse are likely to add to the full game. Now, fresh leaks have exposed the in-game looks of several upcoming characters.

Tao, a well-known HoYoverse leaker, recently posted twelve character models slated to appear in Honkai: Star Rail. Although no names were given to many of these models, others have already been teased by HoYoverse and other leakers. One of these is the rumored “Dan Heng IL”, previously revealed as an alternate version of the starter character for Version 1.3. Additionally, Fu Xuan, which is due to launch in the same version, appears with a full character model in the post.

A diverse selection of more than 20 playable characters is already present in Honkai: Star Rail, and the list is set to grow even further. Currently, 22 characters are available, with the Trailblazer having two elemental variants. Next month, the 23rd character, Jing Yuan, is expected to be added to the roster after the Seele banner has concluded. Additionally, multiple new characters will be added in upcoming patches, with Versions 1.1, 1.2, and 1.3 each introducing two additional members to the game.

The pre-release hype for Honkai: Star Rail appears to have been justified with its launch boasting impressive numbers. Within 48 hours of its release, the RPG had accumulated more than 20 million downloads, surpassing even the success of HoYoverse’s prior hit title, Genshin Impact. The developer will now aim to extend the high launch numbers of Star Rail and recreate the level of success achieved with Genshin Impact.

Honkai: Star Rail is now accessible for both PC and mobile platforms. Versions for PS4 and PS5 are in the process of being created.
