Hogwarts Legacy Update: Fixing Annoying PS5 Bug and More
Avalanche Software has been providing support to Hogwarts Legacy since its launch, with the next update resolving a bug that has been present in the PlayStation 5 version of the game. No story DLC has yet been revealed for the game, however the updates released have been targeting the technical issues and other flaws.
At launch, Hogwarts Legacy was quite polished yet it has still had its fair share of glitches and bugs. One issue that has been specific to PlayStation 5 players is that their robes remain dirty with no way to clean them. It appears that the upcoming update for Hogwarts Legacy will aim to address this nagging bug.

Chandler Wood, the Avalanche Software community manager, recently posted on Twitter in anticipation of the upcoming Hogwarts Legacy update. He discussed reviewing a thirty page list of patch notes and a fan commented in response, anticipating that the new update would fix the PS5 dirty clothes bug. Wood replied with a pun, “We’ve been doing some laundry.” This hinted that the bug may be patched out with the next update, without providing a definite answer.
The exact time of the next Hogwarts Legacy update remains uncertain, and when it goes live, fans should be able to read through the patch notes to find out what’s been altered apart from the PS5 dirty clothes bug. It’s possible that the update will be released on the same day as the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Hogwarts Legacy on May 5, though it could come at a later date. Either way, it should be an important weekend for the open-world Harry Potter action-RPG.
This weekend, viewers of Twitch streams will be able to receive exclusive cosmetics for Hogwarts Legacy, whether or not they own the game. These include the Merlin’s Cloak and the Charms Professor set, both of which can be claimed via Twitch Drops. It’s an exciting opportunity for those who have recently gotten the PS4 or Xbox One version of Hogwarts Legacy!
Anticipating the future, fans of Hogwarts Legacy have the Nintendo Switch version to look forward to, and what will come next is a mystery. It’s possible that Avalanche Software will develop DLC for the game, but it’s also possible they will move forward with a proper sequel. As of now, Avalanche and Warner Bros. are concentrating on the PS4, Switch, and Xbox One versions of the game and resolving any remaining issues.
Hogwarts Legacy is currently available for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X platforms, with the PS4 and Xbox One versions to be released on May 5, and the Switch version to be available on July 25.
