The technical specifications for Hogwarts Legacy on PC have been revealed, showing that a powerful setup is needed for 4K resolution.

It is peculiar that Hogwarts Legacy necessitates 16 GB of RAM just to meet the minimum requirements, as most games developed across generations just require 8 GB of RAM to offer the basic experience. The PC version of this game will use Denuvo anti-tamper technology, similar to the Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment’s recently released Gotham Knights, which had Denuvo removed a few days after its launch to heighten performance.

Hogwarts Legacy

With only a few weeks to go until its launch, the developers of Hogwarts Legacy have released a complete list of the computer system requirements for various settings. It is clear that players will need a decent PC if they want to enjoy 4K visuals. Avalanche Software tweeted four different specs for several resolutions. The lowest specs for 720p and 30 frames per second require an Nvidia GTX 960 or a Radeon RX 470 in addition to an Intel Core-i5 6600 or an AMD Ryzen 5 1400.

Meanwhile, the best performance of 4K resolution and a steady 60 frames per second will call for an RTX 3090Ti or a Radeon RX 7900 XT and an Intel Core-i7 10700 or an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X as the processor. No matter what, the game needs 85 GB of free space on the PC. For faster loading times, an SSD is recommended. The minimum specs include 16 GB RAM, which is more than what most cross-gen titles require. Hogwarts Legacy, like Gotham Knights from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, will use Denuvo anti-tamper on PC, though this was removed from Gotham Knights a few days after it was released to improve performance.
