Bug in Hogwarts Legacy Causes Main Character to Vanish
An odd glitch in Hogwarts Legacy was brought to the public’s attention by an avid gamer – the player character was rendered invisible. This was not an action meant to be taken by players, although Hogwarts Legacy does offer the ability to turn oneself invisible.
It has been over a month since the release of Hogwarts Legacy and gamers are already discovering all sorts of peculiar bugs. Some of them are humorous, while others are advantageous, such as the one that permits players to enter the four house common rooms without having to replay the game for each house. Even though a month has already passed, it is still quite early in its gaming life, which means that players will likely spot more glitches shortly.
Redditor JaxonStormBorn posted a video of an invisible character that was flying around on Highwing, which gave the appearance of the player being a Hippogriff. Other users in the thread were interested in how much the glitch could do, inquiring if it would be possible to enter Hogwarts as an invisible character. However, JaxonStormBorn revealed that they had not tested it. This is not the first time that a game glitch has made it look like a different species, such as in Hogwarts Legacy, where a bug lets the player become a frog.
When compared to other big releases in recent years, Hogwarts Legacy was in a fairly stable state when it was launched. Generally, bugs were not game-breaking, and most of the glitches were innocuous or humorous. One such quirk in Hogwarts Legacy led to a Riverdance from Sebastian Sallow, which is certainly an amusing sight, but not one that has any negative impact on the game.
Though these glitches are amusing, Avalanche Software will likely make an effort to patch out as many of them as they can in the upcoming months. Hogwarts Legacy has already seen some updates, which have addressed a variety of minor issues. While players may be wishing for Avalanche Software to get started on DLC for the game, they may choose to delay that until they have resolved more of the bugs.
The highly-anticipated game Hogwarts Legacy is now accessible on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, with the PS4 and Xbox One versions to be released on May 5th and the Switch port set for a July 25th launch.
