Nissan Z of 2023 and other JDM Automobiles to Feature in Forthcoming Forza Horizon 5
The upcoming Forza Horizon 5 season will feature a variety of eye-catching JDM cars, most notably the 2023 Nissan Z. This is the latest installment of Playground Games’ seasonal releases, adding a fresh set of content to the game’s Festival Playlist.
Though the second expansion for Forza Horizon 5 has yet to be released, Playground Games seems to be eager to expand upon their monthly content with the Japanese Automotive series update. However, unlocking all the new cars is going to require a bit of effort, as some of them are locked behind a grind.
The start of the Japanese Automotive season is coming up on January 31, 2023, which will be similar to other Forza Horizon 5 seasonal releases. Players will be tasked with participating in JDM-style racing, and the rewards will be tailored to those events. The cars that will be included are Nissan Z, Toyota Sports 800, Mitsubishi Galant VR4 from 1992, and the Toyota MR2 GT from 1995. To obtain these vehicles, players will have to complete a weekly seasonal grind, though it shouldn’t be difficult or take too much time if other past seasons are any indication.

The addition of the new update may not be as extensive as the content added for Forza Horizon’s 10-year anniversary, however, 23 new Japanese-branded rims have been added. Furthermore, those who are particularly creative can take advantage of the 57 new car park props and objects in the EventLab editor of Forza to create custom tracks and maps.
Enthusiasts of Ken Block will be delighted to discover that his renowned V2 Hoonicorn is being added to the car lineup of Forza Horizon 5 as part of the JDM seasonal update. Players will have access to the Hoonicorn and some other of Block’s vehicles as rewards for finishing different Festival Playlist events, which should be an exciting and engaging tribute to the late driver.
The inclusion of the Nissan Z in the latest installment of the game should be enough to draw back in former players and to entice those who haven’t played since its launch. Furthermore, Forza Horizon 5 offers ray-tracing in regular gameplay, giving each of its hundreds of vehicles a more distinct look than ever before.
The fifth installment of Forza Horizon is now available for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
