Alleged Fortnite Datamine Suggests Resident Evil Skins Coming for Chapter 4 Season 2

Leaks have recently suggested that Fortnite may be teaming up with Capcom again to introduce Resident Evil skins in the popular battle royale game. This comes as the Resident Evil 4 remake is about to be released in late March. The series of Capcom collaborations for Fortnite has been highly successful, with different Street Fighter skins as well as a previous Resident Evil partnership. It will be interesting to see the results of the upcoming collaboration between Fortnite and Resident Evil.

In October 2021, Capcom introduced a Fortnite crossover with two Resident Evil skins, Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine, each possessing alternate looks from different titles. This was not the first time Resident Evil had appeared in Fortnite, and the skins had no connection to any particular game release, even though Resident Evil Village had already come out that year. Regardless, Resident Evil fans welcomed the skins with open arms.

It has been confirmed that Augments will remain part of the Fortnite experience in the upcoming Chapter 4, Season 2. Here is more information about the news.

Despite the fame of Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine, they are not the only beloved characters from the Resident Evil franchise. Recent reports suggest Capcom will be introducing Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield to Fortnite in Chapter 4 Season 2, coming in early March. As of yet, no official details have been released regarding the skins these characters will be wearing.

It’s important to note that the collaboration between Resident Evil 4 and Fortnite is not a direct crossover. As it was with the first Resident Evil and Fortnite partnership, this is more of a generic collaboration. Taking into consideration that Resident Evil 4 is released near the partnership, it’s likely this is a way to promote it. So, fans should anticipate some type of Leon Kennedy Resident Evil 4 representation, at the very least.

The selection of Resident Evil 4 Fortnite skins has been contentious for some, however, many would agree that Leon and Claire were the best picks. Leon Kennedy has been a fan favorite since the inception of the Resident Evil series. Claire ranks among the most beloved female characters of the franchise alongside Jill, though Lady Dimitrescu has recently gained immense recognition.

Capcom has a lot of potential options for introducing additional Fortnite skins in the future, such as Wesker and Lady Dimitrescu in a bundle, as well as Ada Wong, HUNK, Rebecca Chambers, and Ethan Winters. For the time being, however, Resident Evil fans can anticipate the arrival of Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield in Fortnite soon.

Fortnite can be played on PC, PlayStation 4, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and mobile devices.
