Enthusiast of Elden Ring Sorts All Crystal Tears into a Ranking List

A devoted Elden Ring enthusiast created an in-depth tier list of the Crystal Tears present in the game. Elden Ring, the first FromSoftware open-world title, is an experience that encourages exploration of the unknown with the promise of rewards. One of the most interesting aspects of Elden Ring is the Crystal Tears, which can enhance a player’s abilities and are believed to possess certain magical powers. There are various types of Crystal Tears in Elden Ring, each with its special effects and properties.

The Elden Ring world offers a variety of advantageous powers in the form of Crystal Tears. These Tears can increase elemental damage, amplify health recovery, and even give the player special abilities or spells. Some of these Tears can be used to take on powerful bosses, such as Mohg – Lord of Blood, while others, like Cerulean Hidden Tear, can temporarily reduce FP consumption. One dedicated Elden Ring fan has created a tier list for all the Crystal Tears found in the game.

A Reddit user by the name of Tolnin posted an image on the Elden Ring subreddit featuring a tier list for the various crystal tears. It was divided into seven categories, with the top one labeled as Opaline and containing only one item – the Opaline Bubbletear. This is one of the most renowned crystal tears from Elden Ring, as it grants the user 90% damage reduction for three minutes, or until they take a hit. Additionally, it will not be popped if the player is guarding with a shield that has 100% damage negation, but it will disappear if they are two-handing while defending.

The four tiers in the game are S, A, B, and C, with two more tiers called garbage and situational. Tier S has well-known crystal tears such as Crimson Bubbletear, Crimsonwhorl Bubbletear, Opaline Hardtear, and Crimsonburst Crystal Tear. In the other tiers, A, B, and C, there are Spiked Cracked Tear, Thorny Cracked Tear, and Crimsonspill Crystal Tear. The last two tiers have the largest number of items; each has seven crystal tears from Elden Ring. The six in the garbage category increase the player’s strength, stamina, or dexterity, while the seventh, Windy Crystal Tear, boosts dodge rolls.

In certain circumstances, situational tears can be beneficial, such as Lightning-Shrouding Cracked Tears, which temporarily increase lightning damage. Tolnin’s tier list is useful for Elden Ring players who need help deciding which tears to prioritize, as it classifies them according to their effectiveness. As gamers advance in Elden Ring, and come across new tears, they can test different combinations and methods to find out which works best for them.

Elden Ring is available for purchase on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
