Could the Release Date of Diablo 4 Be Delayed?
A recent gossip suggests that the highly anticipated Diablo 4, which was initially announced at BlizzCon 2019 and due to launch on June 6, could be delayed. It has been 10 years since the release of Diablo 3 and enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting the release of Diablo 4 so they can finally enjoy it.
Some apprehension exists amongst those looking forward to Diablo 4 regarding what the end product will be like. Despite the considerable financial success Blizzard experienced with Diablo Immortal, the title was met with a great deal of disapproval from the fan base due to its microtransactions. Blizzard has assured players that Diablo 4 will not suffer the same fate, though only time will tell. Meantime, eager followers of the game may need to wait a bit longer to get hands-on.

Horns, a member of the Resetera forums who correctly predicted the launch of Hi-Fi Rush, has offered some assertions regarding two other major video games coming out in 2023. In a post on the forum, Horns declared that Redfall and Starfield are in a precarious state, implying that Bethesda is considering pushing the release of Starfield to the fall of 2023 (see this link). Additionally, Horns made the statement that Diablo 4 is in a similar state of development and that the June 6th launch date is “dubious.” No evidence was provided to corroborate these claims, however Horns is more dependable than other people online who claim to have inside information. Consequently, fans should take this information with a great deal of caution.

Fortunately, Diablo fans have the prospect to play the game before its official launch. The closed beta tests of Diablo 4 have already been completed, and an open beta of the game is in the works to be available before release. Even if the Diablo 4 release date is pushed back, players will likely be able to experience the open beta in the upcoming six months. And when the open beta is finally released, the full version of the game should be shortly after.
Rumors of Diablo 4’s release date being pushed back yet again have been circulating, which could cause fans of the franchise to become increasingly frustrated. On the other hand, many would rather Blizzard take the time necessary to make sure the game lives up to the high standards of the series. As of now, the company insists that Diablo 4 is still coming out in June, so fans don’t have to fret about any delays for the time being.
Diablo 4 is set to be released on June 6th, and will be available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
