Teasing of a New Multiplayer Map for Season 2 Reloaded in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

A new multiplayer map for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has been recently reported. Since the launch of the game in October 2019, the number of maps available with the multiplayer mode of the game has been a much talked about subject among the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 online community.

In recent months, many gamers have complained about the selection of battle environments in the initial release of the game. With the launch of Season 2 this week, two new multiplayer maps were added, though they weren’t entirely new. One of the maps will bring players back to the Dome map from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and the other is the Valderas Museum, which was featured in the game’s beta but was missing from the multiplayer suite when the game first launched.

Call of Duty has now unveiled that a completely new 6v6 map will be accessible with Season 2 Reloaded, which is earlier than expected. This has likely been caused by the map being ready sooner than anticipated and operating efficiently in testing scenarios.

The tweet included a preview of the environment, which appears to be some kind of ski resort. The holiday destination features a multitude of multistory buildings around a glamorous-looking pool. Additionally, the image shows waist-high walls, which could be used for cover from enemy fire during multiplayer matches.

The majority of people who responded to the tweet seem quite pleased with the news and the included screenshot. They are thrilled to have a brand new environment in which to battle, instead of rehashing older maps. Most of the reactions were also positive to the news that the release of the map has been brought forward of its original schedule, with only a few voices expressing dissatisfaction because Season 3 content may be sparse as a result of the map being included in this season instead.

In contrast, numerous players have voiced disapproval over the fact that Activision has decided to focus on Warzone 2’s new content rather than introducing new content to the multiplayer. It seems that Activision believes the best way to keep its multiplayer fan-base content is to bring as much future content forward as it can.

It is now possible to play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
