Ashika Island in Action is Highlighted in Call of Duty: Warzone 2
A brand-new gameplay trailer for Call of Duty: Warzone 2 has been released, showcasing the Ashika Island map. On February 15, this map will become the main attraction of the game’s Season 2 update.
Ashika Island is a Resurgence map, which is a small-scale map for the battle royale game with different regulations as long as one team member stays alive. The first Call of Duty: Warzone ‘s Resurgence maps were successful, particularly Rebirth Island, so many CoD battle royale followers are expecting to observe what Ashika Island has to provide and how it stacks up to earlier battle royale maps.
Ahead of its February 15 launch, Activision has been revealing more information about Ashika Island and the features it will offer. The full map was recently released, but a trailer has now been released that shows the map in action. The trailer displays all the significant POIs, such as the Castle POI and the map’s secret underground waterways. Although fans must wait a few more weeks before they can experience Ashika Island, the trailer should help to tide them over in the interim.
DMZ, a game mode that has gained a devoted fanbase in Call of Duty: Warzone 2 due to its combination of PvP and PvE elements, will be getting its version on the Ashika Island map. This will be an option for Resurgence players, and while other playlists may include Ashika Island, no official announcement has been made about this at the time of this writing.
The exact number of players in any given match on Ashika Island is still uncertain. Taking into account the fact that Ashika is smaller than Al Mazrah, it’s likely that Call of Duty: Warzone fans will experience a lower player count, similar to the ones seen in the original Warzone’s Resurgence maps. Unfortunately, no official announcement has been made yet, so for now, we’ll have to stay tuned for more details.
The wait for further information on Ashika Island and the second season of Call of Duty: Warzone 2 will soon be over. Activision has let it be known that an announcement will be made on February 8th, providing fans of the Call of Duty franchise a date to circle on their calendars.
The new installment of Call of Duty: Warzone is now accessible for various platforms including PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
