Season 2 of Modern Warfare 2 Discloses 6v6 Maps of ‘Fresh’ Design
Activision has revealed all the features that will be available in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 for Season 2, which includes maps, game modes, and weapons. Although the 6v6 maps are not completely novel, Season 2 of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 are scheduled to launch on February 15 and will include a variety of updates from the original game’s 2022 release.
As an illustration, the Gulag is set to reintroduce 1v1 clashes in Warzone 2, with all combatants now equipping three-plate armor vests by default. Activision is also altering the frequency of bonus and ultimate perks being earned in Modern Warfare 2 , making them accessible much quicker in gameplay. Furthermore, the list of maps and game modes for Modern Warfare 2 has been revealed, although it has caused some controversy.

According to the Call of Duty website, Modern Warfare 2 is set to add two 6v6 maps to the game, however, neither of them is a newly created level. The first map, called Dome, is based on a map from Modern Warfare 3 that has already been seen in past Call of Duty games. The second 6v6 map for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 in Season 2 is Valderas Museum, confirming a prior leak. For those who didn’t participate in the MW2 beta, Valderas Museum was one of the maps played during the beta but was removed from the final version of the game.
It is obvious that neither Dome nor Valderas Museum can be considered fresh content, since the former is only a remake and the latter was already present in MW2. It will be intriguing to see if Activision has made any alterations to the museum map, as some players grumbled about it being too expansive for 6v6 combat during the beta period.
The Season 2 update for Modern Warfare 2 will bring new battle maps for Ground War and Invasion called Zaya Observatory and Al Malik International. Additionally, Activision has announced that Infected, Gun Game, Grind, and Hardcore modes will be part of the release. Drop Zone, All or Nothing, and One in the Chamber will be added during the course of the season.
