The upcoming 13th installment of the Assassin’s Creed series, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, may have had its launch window unveiled. During Ubisoft Forward in September 2022, it was first made known that Basim would be the protagonist and the game would take place in Baghdad. Even though there have been few other announcements, the aim is to launch the title in 2023.

Since 2007, the Assassin’s Creed franchise has been around, and its lore has been growing and developing with each of the 12 mainline titles. An anonymous GameStop employee made a Reddit post revealing that the company’s computers have target release dates and marketing information for certain games, among them being Assassin’s Creed Mirage. The screenshot shared showed the intended launch month for the title as August 2023. However, that could be subject to change, depending on the progress of the game’s development.

Recent speculation has suggested that the development of Assassin’s Creed Mirage could be running into some problems, which could result in a delayed release if it is a major issue. It appears that the current focus has been shifted to Assassin’s Creed Infinity, a game hub that serves as an Animus which links multiple games, without any mention of the extent to which this has impacted Mirage.
