The Release of Anno 1800 On Current-Generation Consoles is Scheduled for Next Month
This March, Ubisoft’s highly-praised city-building game, Anno 1800, is eventually making its way to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, more than three years after its initial release on PC. The console version will have an altered UI set-up to accommodate controller input, and its texts and icons will be resized to make it simpler for players to utilize the game’s UI even while they are far away from their TV or monitor.
Ubisoft’s announcement trailer for Anno 1800 Console Edition states that it will include all of the free updates which have already been available on PC. The Deluxe Edition will provide access to cosmetic packs that have been launched in the past. However, there was no word on whether the Console Edition will include the 12 content expansions which have been released for the PC version since its launch.
The Standard Edition of Anno 1800 Console Edition will be available on March 16th, 2023 for $39.99 and the Deluxe Edition will cost $49.99. If you pre-order, you will get exclusive bonus items – such as a digital artbook, soundtrack, imperial pack, and the console founder pack – that are not included in the Deluxe Edition.
In Anno 1800, the same as the PC version, there will be both PvP and co-op multiplayer modes available on consoles. This game allows you to explore new technologies and widen your country’s borders during the Industrial Revolution in Europe. You are in charge of guiding your people from a primitive lifestyle to a modern one with the means at your disposal. However, this is not going to be an easy task as you will have to manage several issues, including the difficulty of maintaining a balance between the resources you have and the activities you carry out in the city.
For the first time, a mainline title from Anno has made its way to consoles. Although the game was initially just released on Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store for PC, it did arrive on Steam in December 2022. It has been met with mostly positive reviews, with 79% of players enjoying the experience of Anno 1800.
